I have more than one kind of honey to choose from when I fix my cereal for dessert. It's a little thing, but it's indicative of how well stocked my pantry is. This makes me happy because I can improvise dinners, it means I'm not going hungry, and because my wife, who is responsible for all this, is awesome.

My wife, who is a wonderful teacher, is in the home stretch of leaving her current school and working for a very awesome, very forward looking virtual school. It's a much better match for her and I couldn't be more thrilled (unless they offered me a t-commute IT job to sweeten the deal).

I've got two multi-file torrents downloading. Torrent A is stalled at 62% with no seeds in days. Looking deeper, I noticed Torrent A is actually just a subset of Torrent B.
I found a bunch of completed Torrent A files in the appropriate part of Torrent B. After copying them to the Torrent A destination and doing a recheck, the torrent is now at 74% availability.
All I could think of at the time was, "For The Swarm!"
If I was really ambitious, I suppose I could try to merge incomplete files, too, but there's other stuff I'd rather do.

I've got a friend who's recently moved up to land of Red Sox to get her PhD. She's pretty cool. If any of my Boston friends want to make a new friend/be a tour guide, let me know and I'll get y'all in touch.

One day, we'll have hotels in space. These hotels will have cafes and on-premise baking. Zero-g baking.
You could put muffin dough into a perforated steel sphere and get many, many more muffin tops per unit batter. I'm pretty sure this would collapse the coffee house economy, but that's progress.

Let's say I'm toying with going back to school and getting a second (BS) degree. Will most schools allow me to use credit from boring pre-reqs that I completed for degree #1, or would I be stuck taking and paying for Physics I again?
